Grimes should make whatever argument connects to the people.

Because I'm sure that's what McConnell thinks he's doing.  I'd hope for a bit more honesty from Lundergan Grimes.

enough to not re-elect him. It seems to me that so many people are so disenfranchised--so sure that they have no say, that they don't bother to vote. Only those of us progressives who desperately want something better, and those who have money and can buy influence, and those who are stupidly convinced that Reagonomics and fundies will make everything better if we just keep trying it their way and make government drown in the bathtub, bother to vote. The rich and the smart seem to be few. The stupid seem to be many, and the disenfranchised seem to be even more. Though the rich may be few, they have bought the ears and souls of almost all the politicians. So I fear we are eternally screwed.

about anything other than obstructing Obama and getting re-elected.  I'm sure he can't be as ignorant as he appears.  One would think he would absorb some awareness of what is going on just by being in the halls of congress for so long, but he sure acts like he is colossally stupid.  How can anyone vote for someone who clearly has no understanding of reality?
