  •  G'morning (15+ / 0-)

Need to be outside playing in the dirt before the heat hits. Will be back a bit later.

That building is looking really great, eeff. What an undertaking! It has been fun watching it come together. You know what they say, if you want something done right do it yourself. Was that when you had you appendicitis? Some days you just have to go with the flow even if it goes where you don't want it. :-)

    Peace.

    •  g'morning (14+ / 0-)

I had a stomach bug. it lasted about 36 hours.
I knew about the problem Friday night at quitting time. I should have picked the drill up & removed the screws !
Monday I was hanging around the toilet ! LOL

    •  Hi Nine! (10+ / 0-)

Did you get my email yesterday?

Don't stay in the sun too long! And no tripping on garden tools, we're getting too old for that stuff.

I'm in serious pain from working on my lawn gear and then tackling the far back yard yesterday. Had to weld a bar on the mower to keep the front wheels in line (they tend to bow out and then the drive gears strip the teeth from the wheels), and try to get my string trimmer carb tuned so it will start - which it does about one try in 20 now. Runs great, just hates to start...
      Drop me a note, ok?

You're a good friend CT. I appreciate the support. :-)

My biggest challenge of the week is trying to figure out how to attach a towel hook/hanger to the back of the bathroom door. It's one of those inexpensive hollow doors but I'm not sure what the proper fastener is. I was thinking something along the line of a drywall fastener but the guy at HD said the door was filled with cardboard so that wouldn't work.

It's a half sized/width hanger so it won't have to carry more than the weight of 2 towels at a time, but I hate those over the door rigs that seem to be everywhere these days.

        Any suggestions?

          HAH! Don't I know that...

That cardboard in the door is probably just a glued in honeycomb (it acts as a spacer and sound-deadener between the plywood facings), it'll move right out of the way of your drywall hangers. I'd get small size anchors and put small flat washers between the screw heads and towel bar to make them fit the bar openings. The smaller size will make them easier to insert and the wings to open, but you can put a Phillips screwdriver into the holes first and just "encourage" the cardboard to get the hell out of the way. The light plywood facing should be strong enough to hold the bar with only a couple of towels.
          Later!
