    to convince anyone.

    But we don't.  Huge majorities already agree with us on issue after issue.

    Mockery is fun.  I enjoy it.  

    But all that can achieve change at this point is to put candidates who actually mean it when they promise to try to bring it about on the ballot, and vote for them over and over unless it turns out their promises were lies.

    At which point we need to stop supporting them, and return to the "getting someone who actually wants change on the ballot" step.

    But we've won the public debates on almost everything, from Net Neutrality to a Public Option to Maternity Leave to Equal Pay for Equal Work ect ect.

    It's just that public opinion currently has virtually no impact on policy.
