      I really don't understand the distinction between one device that uses explosive powder to fire round lead projectiles and the other kind that uses explosive powder to fire cylindrical lead projectiles.  If I'm not mistaken, both kinds can easily kill you, yet one is a "firearm" and one isn't?  That's some mighty fine hair-splittin' there.
