When Pryor acts like a Quasi-Democrat he wins. When he acts like a middle of the road, cautious concern troll his poll numbers significantly dip. There may be other factors at play in his poll numbers, but he is obviously paying attention these days. The Republican base in Arkansas is almost entirely of the god, guns and gays variety and not engaged in issues like the minimum wage the way Wall Street Republicans are. In one of the very poorest states in the country its hard to motivate the Republican base to shoot down a very modest minimum wage hike when many of their potential voters currently earn minimum wage. Obviously even Walmart has signed on to this plan or they would have squashed it like a bug which they could easily do in their home state.

Patriotism is the last refuge to which a scoundrel clings. Steal a little and they throw you in jail. Steal a lot and they make you king.... Dylan
