    This diary hits me in so many different ways that I can't tell you about because my experiences would reveal a fair amount of my own personal information to anyone who cared.

    First off, congrats on the successful IVF pregnancy. It doesn't work for everyone. I am truly happy for you and your wife, even if you let someone else impregnate her...

    TTTS is real, there are medical procedures that can be done but you run a risk of miscarriage or later developmental issues even if the surgery is successful. The doctors' default will be to go the selective reduction route. More about TTTS here, or contact this doctor here. It's your choice, but I think you would feel better if it was an informed one.

    Were we being "selfish" in wanting to keep the twins?

    No. Some doctors will make you feel that way, though.

    Your choices are yours, however. I don't envy your position.
