    considered all the facts that they had about him, and that they know more about him that you or I do.  They have a better idea whether he was a deserter than you or I do.  

    And I make the assumption that what they knew about him factored into what they were willing to give up for him.  

    And I state that I don't know how valuable they considered him because I don't know how dangerous they considered the five Taliban guys.  

    What I feel confident about is that they at least CONSIDERED all of those things.  Because if they didn't, then they'd be completely inept, and I don't consider the Administration incompetent or inept.  Because I think the Administration makes considered decisions, I do assume that they considered all of the facts -- including what it was worth the United States giving up in exchange for getting this one captive back.  

    There are others who are still being held by the Taliban.  I would expect that the Administration would make the same kind of calculated decision as to them, too.
