I am the delegate who WROTE this "Reparative Therapy plank” for the Texas GOP Platform. This amendment protects the right of self-motivated individuals to pursue Reparative Therapy and other SOCE (Sexual Orientation Change Efforts).

I personally benefited greatly from it as has everyone I've met who has ever tried it. Reparative Therapy does not claim to be "cure."

Reparative Therapy is based on the premise that reducing shame, building self-esteem, and self acceptance and healing the underlying emotional wounds that drive homosexual behavior will make such behavior less compelling. Thereby, it enables us to live much more fulfilling lives in accordance with our own beliefs.

The reason this platform plank is so important is because "gay" activists have been attacking this life-saving therapy across the country and attempting to ban it, especially for those who can benefit MOST from it - teenagers.

I benefited from Reparative Therapy as a 14 year old and although I didn't pursue that course in high school, I came back to reparative therapy after living a "gay" identity for over 12 years. I am so grateful that Reparative Therapy exists and hope to help as many
others benefit from it as I can.
