    It may be that you just weren't attuned to this particular book by Asimov.

    Some teachers have a gift for making their subjects interesting. In junior year of high school I studied Algebra I for the first time. The teacher, a nun from Boston with bright blue eyes, made algebra so interesting that I was simply riveted by her lectures and in study hall did my algebra homework first.

    This was unheard of for me, because I'm abysmal at math. But when it's made fascinating--well, my imagination soars!
    You evidently experienced a similar situation. Glad you enjoyed the lecture!
