  •  Freakin' Open Carry: Idiots on Parade (7+ / 0-)

helping to control guns without having the brainpower to even know what the hell they are doing. Good show guys. When the guns are finally under control, we will melt some down and make medals to be presented to our wonderful "fifth columnists" who assisted us in our fight. Good job men and women of Open Carry. You have done things that no librul could ever have achieved on their own.

    •  I saw a couple of those guys, once (5+ / 0-)

walking down our once-pleasant downtown city street.

I crossed over to the other side of the streeet, but still didn't feel safe there.

That might have "set off" one of guys, as he started shouting at the wind:

"No One is going to take away my damn guns! They are my birth-rite.  Someone just Try it."
The other guy, the saner of the two, tried to get him to "cool it" -- to no avail.

Made me feel really safe.  Umm, Not.

Sooner or later were going to have to: Trade in those Carbon Footprints ...

They were two thirds of the way to putting you in objectively reasonable fear. Crossing the street was utterly justified.

It's not a Stand Your Ground situation, though, until and unless they do something to signal imminent violent intent. Pointing the weapon would be a great example.

Anyone considering a dog for personal safety should treat that decision as seriously as they would buying a gun.
