I'm so sorry hun. I know how much I worried about something like that over the years. I really feel for your loss.

FloridaSNDad has cerebral palsy, and he has always fallen, a LOT. and I used to have nightmares about coming home from work and finding him dead on the floor after a fall, either bled out or broken something fatal. And he used to stay home alone with the kids, even when they were little, so there could have been an 18 month old Bit there with him alone at the time. For us, that was one of the benefits of home schooling our son when he was 12. At that point Draco was capable of calling 911 or going to a neighbor he knew for help if his dad got hurt.

    •  Yours has been a tough row to hoe in so many ways! (3+ / 0-)

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your sympathy, and know you have mine right back! I admire the way you "hang in there" and "carry on" so much!

Thanks for coming by and commenting. I feel like this should have been in TGR, almost, except I didn't make it by there until today, (it's still Tuesday here) because last night, I dropped in to a local Scandinavian dance group to connect with the woman who used to be director for the dance troupe Andy used to dance with, who has promised me some videos she has of Andy dancing. Then, I stopped by GEDF's briefly, to visit for a bit and coordinate our outing to Costco that was postponed by his getting sick on the weekend. Then, in the parking lot at Costco, I hear on the radio about the school shooting at Reynolds. It's all just kind of too much at the moment.

Wouldn't it be nice if all the insanity and cruelty in our sick culture would just stop?

What I want to know is, who's going to pay for these crimes against humanity that those b@st@rds are perpetrating against the rest of us?
