    Unless you're assuming that a nuke = a man-portable single-barrelled semi-automatic firearm.

    In which case, educate yourself.

    •  Bullshit (13+ / 0-)

The FBI classified the Boston Marathon bomb device as a weapon of mass destruction.

The Vegas crazies were armed to the teeth and easily could have killed and maimed more people than Boston.

      Get YOUR facts straight.

It's also telling that you apparently find all this death, destruction, violence and criminal mayhem to be amusing, or "pooh-poohed."

...Have differing definitions of 'Weapon of Mass Destruction'

For the Pentagon, its Nucler, Biological, and Chemical weapons.

For the FBI, its any explosive device.

Different scales of 'mass destruction, basically.

The FBI has a brief to defend against nuts with pipe bombs.

All the money in the world is thrown at anyone who will claim to defend us against WMDs.

So (shrug) the Pentagon is right, but the FBI knows how to butter its bread.

If only the NEA could figure out all they have to do is define the ignorance of the next generation as a WMD...

Let's say that the death and mayhem wrought by one nuke is equal to 1.0E+07 (10 million) ordinary firearms.

That still leaves us with the moral equivalent of between 25 to 50 nukes' worth of firearms in our country.

Besides, Robert in Wisconsin was attempting snark. Sometimes you win, others you don't.
