  •  The Republican party (13+ / 0-)

created a monster when they cultivated the base that they have and gave the worst among us voice. They started with the Southern Strategy and never once got off the crazy train even tho they had plenty of opportunities to do so. Now they must live with them.

Some humans ain't human some people ain't kind. They lie through their teeth with their head up their behind. You open up their hearts and here's what you'll find - Some humans ain't human some people ain't kind. John Prine

    •  Absolutely! The had to look around to find votes (7+ / 0-)

and so found religion and God.  The repukes were never associated with religion at all until it became a strategy to win an election.  After they lost twice to Obama, they needed to find more votes, cuz there weren't enough Bible thumpers to win them another election ever again.  Now what ya gonna do?  They sure weren't going after Hispanics or Blacks, even if they considered it a little, but not real seriously.  They won't go after the women voters, except those who still live in the 1950's and think Anita Bryant is their role model.  So big blocks of voters don't fit the Republican model of what you should be to be American.

So, they invited those good American Tea Party groups into the fold.  Now the Tea Party branch of the repukes have taken over with Daddy Big Bucks, AKA the Koch Brothers.  Sorta like buying a baby rattle snake as a pet and one day suddenly realizing the thing has given birth to hundreds of babies and it's gotten very large.  And you'd better not step out of bed barefoot or make them rattle.  So what are they gonna do now?  If it wasn't so dangerous to my social security check, I'd just watch and laugh.
