wing places in the country, and with an African American majority district taking in all the African American neighborhoods in Richmond, that's what those suburbs are.

It's interesting, and could be seen to support your theory, that about the only precincts that Cantor carried were out in the boonies, between Charlottesville and Richmond, and Charlottesville and NoVA.  The more suburban and less rural, the more likely to vote Brat.

But that's the R primary electorate.  That just means that Rs committed enough to come out and vote in a primary are more likely to vote with the establishment if they're from out in the country, vs from the suburbs and exurbs.  Brat will almost certainly do better in the general out in the boonies than in the burbs.

This isn't the Deep South, this is a purple state.  This is less and less a white state, and among whites, less and less a Bubba state.  People used to write off Fairfax County as the engine of perpetual R dominance of VA, because it was a Southern suburb that would always vote R.  Now it's the engine of D dominance of statewide elections.  It is not at all clear that the suburbs of Richmond aren't next in line to flip.

      The states must be abolished.
