numbers of unattended children being caught coming across the border, a rush to serve by government agencies and social service groups...a very hard piece to listen to, and if true a staggering problem for all.

It was after the segment on Cantor, the interviewer asked if Cantor's loss meant immigration reform was dead, then led to the story of overwhelmed border agencies....overwhelmed with sounded like were in most in bad shape.
I don't know if there was an agenda there or just a story put up at the appropriate moment...and only because it's NPR do I wonder.

There was no analysis, just the omgomg part of it, bad enough indeed.

Is there some agenda on the Mexican side in the gangs that prey on the hopeful immigrants, is this surge in numbers real, are these gangs part of it as some strategy to influence US politics?

Is the Mexican government participating at some subfusk level?

Or is it ALL desperate families wanting a better life?

    This machine kills Fascists.

Chris's segment with Jose Diaz-Balart.  He says we need to be asking what's caused the sudden influx of children, because it's not like those countries suddenly became that much more unsafe.  His thought was that some of those coyotes were deliberately lying to desperate parents that their kids would receive full asylum here, so they'd all pay up right now.  He said we're talking maybe a $300 million business there.  Follow the money.
