  •  Republicans can point the finger all they want (12+ / 0-)

But even the morons on the right know it was Republicans that broke Iraq.
Plus, Iraq insisted that America pull out, according the agreement that Bush signed.

The problem is that no one can afford Iraq going into chaos.

we can perforce afford what we have no power to stop.

My "we" is an European one. The thing that really makes this hard to bear is the matter of the refugees. By the hundreds of thousands, people will flee, and where will they go: to us. They did already that from Syria. And that would be fine so far, we could deal with that, but they bring their conflict with them. Already now, our countries serve as supply and hinterlands for the syrian war, and the factions that are fighting each other there, will also fight each other here. An unmitigated evil this is. I dont know what can be done. This can mean a hundred more Atocha´s.

Republican and Democratic politicians, bigots, religious fanatics, and arms merchants. They waved the flags and lead the cheering while ignoring all of the findings and recommendations from the UN inspection team.

All of this same crowd is now cheering the ongoing war on Iran. We have learned nothing from the Iraq war.

War is costly. Peace is priceless!
