bush was planning to go without war authorization, but he got a trade, he got the authorization vote, and her vote, but he had to give Saddam a chance to say yes to inspectors. Bush was pissed he had to wait, he wanted to start it in December, long before the hot weather, and he had to wait, and he got tired of waiting and he pulled the inspectors out.

I don't know why you think that after we've all had over a decade to think about all the supposed negotiations, and watch the actual consequences, that there is any excuse for her vote to give Bush the power to invade.

And in followup comment you say that she would kill rather frequently, acknowledging that she tried to arm the rebels in Syria who are now capturing Iraq.

She campaigned for Lieberman after CT Democrats voted to get rid of him in the primary, against the Democratic candidate, and got him reelected for 6 more years, which he spent continuing to cheerlead for Bush's Iraq War, and some Iran War on the side. She will attack Iran as soon as she can if elected, unless Obama's negotiations (and this week's events in Iraq) make that impossible. In which case she will do something along the same lines. She's a hawk, and no inconsequential book lines about "mistakes" (that everyone else made, yadda yadda yadda) change that.

I don't know how you can continue to support her bid to get that power, and more.

so if they'd stay that's what they would have found. They were allowed in after the vote, not before. Bush had wanted to invade in December, not in March (close to summer). Then there would have been even less body amour too.  And in the words of the immortal Rummy (cause he's walking dead) 'shit happens, you go to war with the army you got.'

If they had completed the job the rationale for the invasion would have disappeared. So, it had to happen first, if it was going to happen. And, it was going to happen.

          Shameful.
