    control redistricting in a lot of states, it's nearly impossible to defeat them.

      We [Politifact] counted a 174,000-vote edge for Democrats in the 99 races in the final tally.

      Statewide the Democrats won 53 percent of the 2.7 million votes cast in those local Assembly races, compared to 46 percent for Republicans

      Yet the Republicans came out if it with a 60-39 majority in the Assembly.

      Same thing
      happened with US races:
      Republicans received 49 percent of the 2.9 million votes cast in Wisconsin’s congressional races, but won five out of eight, or 62.5 percent, of the seats
