    in US military history, of course.
    Why does it seem like we're fighting the Vietnam War all over again, except we wrote down all the major events from that era on slips of paper, threw them up in the air, and picked them up to try them out in a random order. First we sent in inspectors, then we sent in a massive number of troops (as massive as we would ever have, at any rate), and now we're sending in the dozens of advisers . . .
    What's next, the invented bombing of a tank named the "Maddox"? And then maybe the French will take over!
