... need to be fought the old-fashioned way: the "leaders" need to head the armies and be as keen to fight with swords, shields, longbows, rocks, and fists exactly as they did centuries ago.

If a "leader" can't hold his/her own in physical combat, and show how well they can manage a country under peaceful conditions, then they don't deserve to be a "leader" either.

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor

    •  Just a suggestion: Read "Sun Tzu's" work on WAR: (0+ / 0-)

Our generals and our "war leaders" supposedly read stuff like that. But the wisdom of the composite product attributed to "Sun Tzu" ought to provide something of a guide for when NOT to engage in idiotic wars:

The work at the link is just stuffed with observations on the kinds of behavior our Rulers have pursued since long before Maj. Gen Smedley Butler let it out that War, as practiced by the US Empire, is "nothing but a racket."

Not that hardly anybody gives a shit, as long as they have nice cars and "Call of Duty" and stuff like that to keep them fat, dumb and happy...
