  •  The admission in their filing that they did it... (7+ / 0-)

When you wade through what was released yesterday, one of the defenses offered by the plaintiffs for their behavior is that Wisconsin law does not apply to their coordinated campaigns.

They complain that if they followed the law, every coordinated group would have to be a sub-committee of Friends of Scott Walker, would have to report income and expenditures, and would be required to use the same treasurer.

The wingnut groups may not like that, but it is exactly what Wisconsin law requires... either do not coordinate, or if you do, become a sub-committee.

Then we have the email in which Scott Walker informs Karl Rove that he (as Friends of Scott Walker) has employed R J Johnson to coordinate all the independent groups in 9 separate recall elections.  DUH.  See paragraphs 2 and 3 above.

Walker told the Journal yesterday that he knows nothing about the email referenced in the court documents released today.  DUH.  The memory of a Christie.

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty (Chris Christie, Antonin Scalia, or Scotty Walker (pick your favorite) said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."
