    is when it was heavily regulated and solidly controlled by government agencies to prevent the greed and dishonesty which it naturally engenders.

    Capitalism is about money and only money. Capital.

    It has nothing to do with caring about people or making rational community decisions about the good of all.

    For democracy to function, capitalism must be barred from interference or participation. Democracy is about people making joint decisions for their mutual benefit.

    Capitalism can only distort and pervert those decisions. It requires controls, even for its own good. Without regulation, capitalism collapses over and over, destroying lives -- people -- every time.
