    It hits so many hot buttons.  We, my mother and I, have so many issues from 46 years together.  

    Now, her dementia has kicked into overdrive since she broke her hip 8 weeks ago.  She complains about the pain, will not exercise and will not write things down.  

    It becomes difficult to discuss  her pain and loneliness when she refuses to make the effort to do anything to make the symptoms better.  THAT is what makes this so difficult.

      pressure is off of you.  If she is truly in need a home health aide may be a good way to go.  I don't know your exact circumstances, but if you are care-taking her and reside together, make sure you have the ability to take a break.  It will be good for both you and she.
