    •  Margaret Cho retweeted me a couple of weeks (4+ / 0-)

ago, and then started following me.

I'm not a fannish sort, never got excited by the idea of meeting movie stars or such.

But Twitter has made me look at the world differently.

I've had Twitter conversations (brief tho they be) with:
Cher (yes, the real Cher, she is one LIBERAL gal)
Christine Pelosi (daughter of the #OnceAndFutureSpeaker and a smart, funny woman)

and earlier this spring I was being Twitter stalked, sort of, by a national journo, who would Favorite my Tweets on politics but never Retweet me. He was also not following me on Twitter, although I follow him. Funny thing tho, he would Favorite a Tweet of mine sometimes in less than a minute after I posted it. So I assume he runs two separate Twitter accounts on two machines, allowing him to anonymously follow people he then interacts with under his public Twitter profile.

      •  I didn't get Twitter for the longest time. (4+ / 0-)

I didn't even tweet for years after I made an account. But I'm really starting to like it more and more. So many interesting people out there, some of whom (including the famous) will interact with one, just as you've pointed out. I'd LOVE having a conversation with Cher, however brief!

BTW, the San Francisco Opera followed me yesterday. A nice gesture, given that I've only made two opera-related tweets in my life! :-)
