  •  I was so hopeful during the Occupy (4+ / 0-)

heyday that we would finally begin to create the world that we wanted. And then I discovered that most folks have NO IDEA what they want. No visions at all. (Don't they daydream? (Oh, I guess, since a lot of them are guys their daydreams are of tits?))

Anyway I thought it would be a good time to rethink what we are doing, but we haven't. I thought we should, for example, make sure that businesses accounting practices should include the taking of natural resources in on their balance sheet and they should ensure that businesses pay taxes on spoiled resources and future (if stuff can't be recycled) of the resources used.

I thought that we could pressure pols to do the right thing, to make the banksters pay for their criminality, for example, to restore antitrust laws for another example.

    But none of that happened.

And as time goes on, it seems to become less and less likely to ever happen before nature decides we are the flea on her back and she shrugs us off.

What is the frickin use of being a homo sapient if we are not sapient at all?

ALL of our institutions have been hollowed out by the greed ethos. There are none left with heart intact or souls for that matter. So the zombie is all around us - me
