    Despite enthusiastic buy-in, this storyline did not pan out last year at this time, and is somewhat less likely to bear fruit this time around ... while these and other intervening developments have done much to rehabilitate Bush Administration claims of that period vs speculative claims popularized here in the same period.

    It's conceivable we'd score points here, but at high "red herring" risk ... while we have BushCo dead to rights on so many other more central matters.

    •  Storyline did not pan out last year (none)
      The story is that there is a possible link between the premature arrests of suspected AQ operatives in the UK last year and the bombings last week. The outing of Kahn lost everyone involved a very valuable resource. Once his name was out, the arrests had to be made quickly.

      The herring has only started to smell!
