    I was once in Paris with a friend who spoke French with a strong American accent. We were looking for a particular Metro entrance so he enquired of a woman in a small tobacco stand nearby.

    Friend: Where can we catch the Metro?

    Woman: In the Metro station.

    Yeah, that was rude of her, but I couldn't help snickering behind my hand. :-)
