The 51st is the only strong chance of a R to D conversion. The others are long shots.

The 70th and 75th will be tight. The 75th became D due to unanticipated circumstances in 2012. The 70th's redistricting gerrymander scheme is a sick attempt by Vos and friends to knock off a moderate Dem. It almost worked in 2012. Turnout will be the key. More than half the district is new from the previous map. Vruwink is a solid representative who can win again, but work will be needed.

A Dem needs to be elected in 2018 to be in office during redistricting.

    •  The Republican in the 75th is kind of a goober (0+ / 0-)

      I'm optimistic there.

      •  Yeah. Smith kicked butt at fundraising. I feel (0+ / 0-)

comfortable putting that as lean Dem.
