    they pretend the reason they won't allow cameras is that the Supreme Court is not entertainment, but they always hold the big ones until the last day, which builds the drama & increases the entertainment value.  I don't know, I'm sure there is a logical explanation.

      and was only argued in March.

      Everyone knew it would be a lot of work just to get this decision out by Monday.

      I don't think this is for dramatic purposes.

      And the "few rulings a day" approach going on now is that the press (in the old newspaper days) used to complain that dumping six or seven important decisions out on the same day made it impossible to provide appropriate coverage to the public so the Court agreed to hold more sessions with less decisions in each session.

        partially because the language in the majority opinion informs what the dissent will say, and the dissent will cause the majority to rewrite the opinion to respond, and it winds up being a lot of back and forth before the opinion is finally ready.

        If it was purely dramatic purposes, they would have held onto this case until Monday as well.
