    bright, focused and determined culture warriors who are doing their best to take this country back to before the American and French Revolutions, where Rome had as much to say about one's freedom and quality of life as the Ancient Regime, and the King of England decided how everyone must believe and feel upon the pains and penalties of the Star Chamber and the rack.  Let's face it, unionized uppity workers only get in the way of profits and leisure for the quality folk who are our betters.

    Patriotism may be the last refuge of scoundrels, but religion is assuredly the first.

      Speaking of the French Revolution, I used to think, when I was young, that it was terrible for the poor and unthinkable for the aristocrats. Now, I'm thinking we should think of the revolution as a game plan. Needs tweaking, but doing.
