    to reduce pensions for city workers?

    Since the homeless encampment and the ever increasing inequality are legacies of the Democratic party, could it be that the solution is not in electoral politics but  in organising and on the streets?

      our current mayor is a Dem...or at least he calls himself a Dem.

      I live in an unincorporated area just outside of san jose...if I could I would vote for cortese.

      ..the really wealthy, like Larry Ellison.  So Dem pols instead target the easy marks, the working and middle-class.

      As a result, the voters revolt.

      This diary is about the poor man in Silicon Valley.

      So why do so many of you support regressive taxation in California, while supporting tax breaks that enable Larry Ellison to buy a discounted Tesla?

      Why do so many of you support carbon taxes and cap and trade in California, when these fiscal approaches exacerbate income and wealth inequality?

      There is no excuse for any Dem to support REGRESSIVE energy taxes.
