  •  Is that a threat? (6+ / 0-)
if by another fluke became President, he'd have no leverage with either of the parties in Congress. And if you think the Democrats would swing in to back him up if he derails Hillary, you are delusional
So the Hillary! support infrastructure is saying flat out already that its position would be to not back Sanders if he runs? Putting aside the fact that she's not declared yet, I would think that Mrs. Clinton would be supportive of the same kinds of things that Sanders--who regularly caucuses with Democrats--supports.

    Fascinating, that POV....

    •  No, it's not a threat, it's reality. (2+ / 0-)

If you know anything at all about how conventional politics works, this will be obvious.
Sanders can't run as a Democrat, he's not one.
So to win, he'd have to take 50%+some from the other two candidates. And since Republicans are not even slightly likely to cross over, it would be Democratic voters he'd have to persuade. All of them.
In order to do that, he'd have to be virulently anti-Hillary, he'd have to pull a Nadir, and would probably end up, like Nadir, simply installing whatever appalling piece of trash the Republicans run.
I know this pops some people's bubbles, but this is supposed to be a reality-based community, no?

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!
