  •  The way they gerrymandered Ohio drives me nuts. (18+ / 0-)

16 congressmen. The composite vote for all 16 districts was almost even and could have been even but for the fact that Boehner ran unopposed.
So even though the composite votes were 2.6million for Repub congressmen (50%) and 2.4million for Dems (47%) remembering that Boehner got 250,000 votes running unopposed...the gerrymandering results in 12 Repub congressmen and only 4 Dems. A three to one ratio in a dead heat?
If I was an Ohioan I would be spitting nails.

    •  Well, Consider Pennsylvania's Outcome!! (0+ / 0-)

52 percent voted for a Democratic Congresscritter.
48 percent voted for a Repuke Congresscritter.

Yet, to the 113th congress, Pennsylvania sent

      13 Repukes
      5 Democrats

AND WE FUCKING WON THE OVERALL VOTE!!

This Pennsylvanian is pissed off royal!

Even though I lucked out and am represented by a good man, Matt Cartwright, a Democrat.

I am soon to move to North Carolina.  It is looking like my new Congresscritter just might be Clay Aiken.  LOL.

      •  Wow. I knew that PA was similar to OH (0+ / 0-)

with the gerrymander, but I didn't know that it was ever worse, damn.
