      That is exactly what I read into Greider's piece.

      But what you say is what I'm complaining about: political necessity in the time of streaming refugees, kids. The right is trying to force these kinds of inhuman choices upon us. I expect the Latino population is going to remember this as well they should.

      I finally read Greider's entire piece. She's spent time on the ground in TX and I applaud her for that. OTOH I think she's trying to appease her right-wing readers (look at the friggin' comments!) and for that, I marked her piece down.

      Interesting read, though.

        (social progressive, economic conservative).  I think she's a pretty decent person. Her column is what some decent people think.

          Just that, based on the comments, she must write to a pretty conservative crowd. That makes me and probably her modify her writing to show she's being fair. Anyone who spends time with the families and the kids themselves has got to be better than anyone in congress. But...

          Fair to the RW'ers seems biased, objectively to me.
