    If Berger loses tonight, how much will his loss be credited to the unpopularity of his father and the NC state legislature at the moment?

      There's an interesting feud in the state GOP right now that has pitted Berger and the St. Senate against Gov. McCrory, Thom Tillis, and the St. House. The St. Senate has so far refused to pass the House's budget plan, which McCrory endorsed. McCrory even compared Berger, Sr., to Harry Reid yesterday.

      It's certainly angering state Republicans who don't want this to screw up Tillis's race against Kay Hagan, and I guess it might be filtering down to this race... I wouldn't have expected it, but that's the best I can come up with.
