say they would vote for ANY Republican candidate for president, people in the millions, a number never dipping below 35% of the population?

If I know any of them I've probably hidden their news feeds on Facebook.

The GOP/T has been doing a FINE job of disinformation these past many years...

America's LAST HOPE: vote the GOP OUT in 2014 elections. MAKE them LOSE the House Majority and reduce their numbers in the Senate. Democrats move America forward - Republicans take us backward and are KILLING OUR NATION!

Something to keep in mind is that people do not act on the truth.  They act on what they understand the facts to be.

Until 1981 the FCC had a fairness rule requiring that people using the citizen-owned airwaves present all sides of a controversial issue.  One of the first things Reagan did was to eliminate that rule.

When you add in the FCC's having dropped  rules limiting one company owning too many broadcast media in a given market and we have turned virtually all the mass media into a right-wing propaganda machine.

The attack on net neutrality is  probably an attempt to control information from that medium too.

When all a person hears, sees or reads is one side of an issue then an informed electorate is a thing of the past.

But this a pet peeve of mine.
