    not have prevented the import of items without military use.

    •  Part of the problem with "military use" (0+ / 0-)

      is it can be pretty broad.  Building supplies can be used to build homes demolished by Israel...Or can be used for military bunkers.  Heck, caffeinated beverages could arguably have a marginal effect on readiness for a surprise attack.  Wheelchairs could be dismantled and used as clubs (Or used for smuggling stuff hidden inside them?).

      Problem is Israel has proven itself unable to behave in a trustworthy fashion here, and elsewhere.  Should be administered by some international organization, IMHO (Either the UN, or an NGO legitimately interested in helping the Palestinians, but staunchly anti-violence, of course).

      It looks like most of the unreasonable stuff being blocked was before Jun-2010. After that, the blockade eased by quite a bit. Specifically, the only kind of stuff blocked beyond the obvious military capable stuff is construction materials.
