    It is not up to man to decide when another person should meet their death. It is an arrogance that one would think fundies of all stripes would understand.

      all part and parcel of the inherent fundie hypocrisy regarding "the sanctity of life."

      Life is sacred, but we must have the power to end it, even in cases where it is not entirely clear that the accused is actually guilty, and we must give people the power to take the law into their own hands, and end other people's lives for no good reason at all.

      Life is sacred, but we are not playing God when we say that the life of an unborn child is inherently more valuable than that of the woman carrying it to term.

      Life is sacred, but we need not actually do anything to prevent suffering, and, in many cases, we must actually punish those who suffer because they are suffering.
