  •  if the property owner is in cahoots... (15+ / 0-)

... he can and should lose the property in civil forfeiture.

What's needed to bust the house is hard evidence of the drug dealing, such as an undercover buy, that can be used to get a search warrant.

Depending on what sort of alleys you have, strategic placement of refuse bins by various neighbors might discourage the high-speed rides through the alleys.

You might try a visit with the local District Attorney.  S/he or some young lawyer there, could earn some nice career points by rolling up a dope house, locking up the dealers, and getting the building confiscated.

IMHO the people associated with that house are reckless sociopaths who don't give a flying f---.  If they were smart dope dealers they'd be discrete rather than pissing off the neighbors, so include "stupid" in that description.  I would guess they also use what they sell, and from the behavior, I would guess it's meth.  Stupid reckless sociopaths on meth, and guns, are a bad combination, so be aware and look out for your own safety.

We got the future back. Uh-oh.

    •  I agree about the stupid and unprofessional part. (12+ / 0-)

We think it is crack and or heroin judging by the foot traffic. I thought about the DA too. This guy has about 6 homes or more, so I am surprised that he still owns real estate. I have given a nod to the IRS as that may be a way to get his property seized.

      •  woo-hoo, and you'll get a reward for that. (6+ / 0-)

Telling the IRS is excellent, and ten points to you for having thought of it.  In cases where they make decent recoveries there is often a reward, so you might get paid something for the crap you've endured.  Could be a few thousand, maybe more.

Six properties. He could lose all of them.  Woo-hoo!, that's a nice recovery.

Heroin users are typically pretty harmless: burgle a house, sell the stolen goods for money, score some "junk," shoot it up, nod off, repeat.

Crack users are bigtime dangerous.  Stay away from them and protect yourself.  They are impulsive, highly driven, and will kill for a fix.

I'd say try the DA's office.  If one property is a dope house, chances are that more are as well.  Shutting them all down would be a very nice feather in the cap for any prosecutor.

Something else that occurs to me:  When you're dealing with psychos of this type, there is a very very substantial chance that there's sex trafficking going on, possibly immigrant women, possibly children.

If you can keep an eye on the place, and on any of his other places without being spotted, and see anything like that going on: teenage girls, guys who don't look like dopers (so they might be "johns" or "customers"), etc., by all means report that as well.  Description of person, date/time, etc.  Anyone in LE should jump on that pronto-pronto because they take anything involving kids personally.

One more thing: if you smell ammonia around the place, they're "cooking" (making) meth.  That'll also bring down the heat pretty quickly.  There are certain kinds of accessories & paraphernalia that are typically used for that, and might show up in their trash, so a search of their trash bins could be fruitful.

By all means post another diary if you get any results.  I hope you get rid of this plague sooner rather than later.

We got the future back. Uh-oh.
