  •  Let's think about that "he met with abuse victims" (5+ / 0-)

    fig leaf.

After nearly 18 months of being pope he has had one meeting with one small group of hand picked quiescent abuse victims who have remained in the church and who could be relied upon to be cowed by mass with the pope.

He has had no meetings with the organized groups of victims who are less timid and who want justice and action.

He speaks about the abuse scandal as if it were something that was entirely in the past.

Meanwhile, the lawsuit that is going on in St. Paul makes it clear that it is, in fact, still rolling along.

The crimes are continuing, the cover-up is on-going, and Francis has not taken a single step to protect children.

And all those bishops: still in their cushy jobs.

    •  Abuse victims are not a Liberal group. (1+ / 0-)

Nor are they a conservative group.

In a conservative/liberal calculation on this Pope - abuse victims just don't figure in.

How they are treated has little or nothing to do with Church policy in such areas as birth control, abortion, corporate greed, environmentalism, etc.

You claim to be an adult, thinking being, and you believe that. You actually, honestly believe what you wrote when you said

"How they are treated has little or nothing to do with Church policy in such areas as birth control, abortion, corporate greed, environmentalism, etc."

I'm going to go put a gun to my head now. I have truly seen and heard it all, and you've just proven to me humanity is beyond saving.
