    The media is forcing balance where there is none.

    It's perfectly ok to report on climate change denial as a cultural phenomenon or from a political angle, but to put it next to actual science as if it's a real debate is wrong.

    Same thing with creationism.

      In addition to violating our two fundamental rights to lie about the most important matters of our world and self governance, (other than slander), your formula would apply equally to almost all of conservatism.

      Then the media hypothetically would rationally have to make their major political story the vast tsunami of lies across all areas of policy, all across the country, for the past half century which constitutes American conservatism.

      --Conservatism of both parties.

      At the very least this would collapse the media markets immediately.
