Teabags connect Obama to everything, have forgotten about bushco or wiped from their history, and blamed Clinton previously. But if reports coming in are true, like the phone calls, Russian military found out quick who did it and that it was a civilian commercial flight. New reports say the blackboxes have been sent to Moscow by the separatists!

Plenty of Dems, progressives, are right there with the teabags in blaming the 'O' and wiping the bushco from history, they picked up the tea buckets as soon as 'O' was elected and the bush was exiting, and still goes on since!!

We don't, especially the poser patriots, do accountability, we got's political war front on the homeland soil, as we also don't take anything off the table and it all becomes new policy under a new elected leader, if the one wanted wasn't elected, or the one that was looks different then what's wanted!!

    •  If we're absolving Putin of blame then we'd (5+ / 0-)

have to absolve the US of blame in all of the stuff we did in Central America, the deposing of the elected govt. in Iran etc.

Putin's hands are all over this. As much as a lot of people on this site don't want to admit it because Russia opposes a lot US foreign policy we don't like - they're doing it.

It wasn't ok when we supported death squads and insurrection in Central America, it's not ok when Russia screws with its neighbors.

And before you say "well the CIA deposed an elected government" there's nowhere near the evidence of that compared to what we have about Russia's involvement here.

When we stop putting leaders from the past up on pedestals and ignoring their flaws, we can start seeing our present leaders for what they really are.

thought it was a brilliant idea for the separatists to shoot down a civilian airliner?

        Really?

Hard to argue that Putin didn't enable this; these callous Klingons are his chosen minions and he should have been prudent enough to confiscate the fancy hardware.

Now he's knee deep in poop and needing an urgent management reshuffle, as they say, in Donetsk. I'm guessing a few separatists and Russians of a certain profession are going to seem unusually accident-prone for a while.

It appears that the separatists mistook their victim for a Ukrainian military plane.  They boasted about taking down a Ukrainian military aircraft, found out that it was a Malaysian jetliner full of civilians, then deleted their celebrations from the Internet.

In the fog of war, civilians die no matter how careful the combatants are.  Putin's error was in annexing and invading enough of Ukraine, which increased the number of anti-Russian Ukrainians and even kept Russia's supporters within Ukraine out of the elections.

        •  I don't think Israel's leadership thought it was (0+ / 0-)

a great idea to kill a bunch of kids playing soccer on the beach.

When you set up a series of events that is incredibly dangerous and reckless and this causes people to die it's irresponsible.

I'm sure the ultimate goal of people like Kissinger wasn't mass murder on a huge scale - but they set up conditions where it could have and did occur.

If I give a toddler a loaded gun and tell him to go play with it in kindergarten class and someone gets killed, can I really say "I didn't INTEND for anyone to get killed."

When we stop putting leaders from the past up on pedestals and ignoring their flaws, we can start seeing our present leaders for what they really are.
