    (With one exception - throwing the shoes at GWB at the Iraqi press conference was absolutely inspired).

    All sorts of ways to get a message across, but that one shows distinct disrespect for the speaker - and the listeners - for no good reason.  At a political convention, there are myriad ways to communicate a message - pick one that doesn't make high-profile figures shy away for fear of nonsense.  Protests, picketing, leafleting, you name it - heckling the VPOTUS is just disrespectful.

      And though I'm generally well-disposed to the VP, I think taking the opportunity to do this was worth the perception of disrespect.

      And Biden's off-the-cuff response was really good. Politics being the art of the possible, under the politics Biden truly does have a heart that cares about the people impacted by these policies, and it shows.
