  •  what a bullshit false equivalency (9+ / 0-)

whether or not Hamas or the Israeli government is in the wrong or are the "terrorists" here is up for debate. Obviously.

There is no question who the evil party is in the other instances you mentioned. No grey area.

Talk about boiling down a complex situation into a simplistic DickChenyian binary, to quote someone from below.

The only false equivalency is that you just compared a terrorist organization to a country.

      Hamas does not equal Palestine.

Are you incapable of understanding this?

      Apparently yes.

      Should I type more slowly?

      •  Erm...Huh? The Israeli government isn't a (1+ / 0-)

        country.

Hamas actually won elections at one point....  So one group of people that was elected, with another that was also elected.

Hamas has also killed quite a number of civilians, trying to bring terror to Israelis.  The Israeli government has killed significantly more civilians than Hamas, and brought terror and economic hardship to millions.

There are certainly many differences, and I don't claim there's moral equivalency, but to claim there's no comparison just seems, well, a bit blind to the actions of Israel.
