I would have happily used up my donut supply on them.

After Kos' diary got above 500 or so comments, my browser started getting cranky. (Maybe I should try Chrome for those comment-heavy diaries.) So I had to bail.

Mr. Scribe's family (well, aunts and uncles) on his mother's side were "snowbirds" for the latter part of their lives -- spending the summers at home in eastern Washington (or western Idaho -- they had places at Couer d'Alene at the opposite end of the Aryan Nation crew) and winters in Arizona, mostly the Phoenix area. My late father-in-law had a great-uncle in Arizona. My baseball team trains in Arizona every spring -- I can understand that the logistics preclude MLB from moving their spring training facilities out of the state.

My complaint is with the state government, and the brain-dead residents that put that government in place...but I'm fully aware that there are brain-dead voters everywhere; I've had to suffer under 4 different Republican governors in my lifetime here in the alleged liberal bastion of California, after all.

There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- goddammit, you've got to be kind. -- Kurt Vonnegut
