      •  Entering a war zone under any pretext is (0+ / 0-)

still an act of war and would mean we are in their war.

        •  Sometimes you have to, we should have gone (0+ / 0-)

into Rawanda to stop the Genocide or do you think no one had a right to that?

          •  So, a few points here: (0+ / 0-)

1 - I never said "had a right" for anything to do with this matter.  I never placed a moral component on your little folly.
2 - Shooting down a civilian plane in a war zone, something the US has done at least once that I can remember, is no where, not even the slightest bit remotely, similar to what happened in Rawanda. There is zero moral equivalency
3 - In 1994 we had not already been at war for more than 10 years.  We had a moral credibility with the world and ourselves that was lost when dickbush lied and invaded Iraq.  This is now not then. Russia not Rawanda.
4 - Yes, In my opinion we should have tried to organize and imlpement an international intervention at that time. Although the genocide took about 3 months we probably could have managed something quickly and effective but do you remember the gop'ers back then?  Clinton managed to stop ethnic cleansing in eastern europe with NATO in 1999 with zero NATO combat casualties in a matter of a few months.  The rethugs were against him then almost at vehemently as they oppose anything Obama does now.  Imagine Clinton having tried to get anything moving in Africa, for dark skin people, much less white europeans...
