that prosecutors from Washington were sent out from the get go and anyone with prior connections to Christie still in that office had to recuse.  That I believe, because when

the Manhattan federal prosecutors were looking into taking part, they quickly backed off, without explanation. I think they discovered that DC was already there.

There are too many on-going investigations on Christie, and they are going the usual way, from the bottom up. Egea did testify she sent emails to Christie, which would be during to shortly after the lane closures, only she deleted them and he didn't always respond to her, so it's no smoking gun by itself.  But nothing is by itself.

Esquire reported things that cannot be true.  Fishman can't take testimony before a grand jury that is meant to prosecute those who are testifying - it they are targets he can't touch them, he has to make his case against his targets without using them. So the idea that Wildstein would be indicated wasn't credible from the get go, it was planted information, and seemingly planted by at least two. The before Obama is over is also over-the-top not credible.

like oh no not another one, I meant too-many room-for-more.

Meantime Christie is pretending to not be dead, and the Republicans are using him, as a fake front runner to give the others some breathing room before they get knocked out. When Christie is officially knocked out, the others will be more glaringly inappropriate.
