"There is no wiggle room.  I am not running for President. No means no."  - according to the politicalwire blog quoting a reporter of the Boston Globe.

Senator Elizabeth Warren has put the nail in the coffin (again) about all of the chatter from various people, including some Republicans desperate to hurt front-running Dem nominee Hillary Clinton, speculating or hoping Warren runs for President in 2016.

She is not.  Period.  How many more times does she have to say the same thing?

    •  Not now... (0+ / 0-)

She answered in the present tense.  And it is absolutely true that she is not now running for President.

Even Hillary has not answered affirmatively that she is running.

It's just way too soon.  We need to wait a year.

      •  But Hillary has not issued the Shermanesque . . . (1+ / 0-)

. . . statement. At this point, while no one is officially running yet, those who do plan to run are not issuing "no wiggle room" statements. Given Hillary's recent appearance on the Daily Show, where she told John Stewart that she was hoping to land a job where her "home office" would have "no corners," it is clear that she is dropping hints about her intention to run. Warren, on the other hand, declared, in no uncertain terms, that she is not running. And, frankly, it's better in the long run if she stays in the Senate; she'll be able to get a lot more done. If we want progressive legislation, we need a progressive Senate!
