    But I never paid attention to baseball, really, until the Red Sox won the Series and broke the Curse of the Bambino.  When a team breaks an actual honest-to-god curse, you become a believer REAL FAST.

    OT: I went to a Detroit game back in the late 80s and saw Cecil Fielder hit three homers.  That was cool.

      yer mom was an indians fan -- that explains it that and the whole curse breaking thingy.  

      growing up in toledo during the 70's you were either a tigers and/or a reds fan.  i think that i knew ONE indians fan during that time.  i was both.  johnny bench, a fellow sooner, caught for the reds and bill freehand, a fellow meechigan grad, caught for the tigers.  there is a pattern here.
