    Israel and Hams don;t talk to each other?? Never ever ever? Not when there are prisoner exchanges, not when they agreed to previous cease fires? Please

    Egypt had a deal with Israel, that included IDF operations in Gaza regardless, continuation of blockade, keeping the people imprisoned in the search of the three kids even though they had nothing to do with it... And it was take it or leave it. That's not a cease fire offer

      It was Egypt. Just like with the ceasefire proposal, Egypt talked to one side first, then the other side second. That's the only way it can be done because Israel and Hamas will not sit in the same room.

      That's the way it's always been done. For some strange reason, for the first time in history, that became the reason for Hamas to reject the ceasefire and that has been used here by countless commenters to defend Hamas's decision to reject the ceasefire.

      Very puzzling.
